Apartment 13 is the penthouse at Lieblingsquartier – the most spacious holiday apartment in the house, on the top floor right in St. Andreasberg in the Harz mountains. Around 170 m² offer three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a light-filled living area for up to 6 guests. Ideal for families with older children, three couples or friends travelling together who still want plenty of room of their own. Your dog is very welcome.

Living and cooking

Many windows bring in lots of daylight and open up views over St. Andreasberg and the Harz hills. The generous living area with sofa corner, armchairs, smart TV and Bluetooth speaker flows into the modern open-plan kitchen, fully equipped with dishwasher, hob, oven, fridge-freezer, Nespresso machine and filter coffee maker. Everyone gathers round the dining table – for a leisurely breakfast or dinner after a day in the mountains. Our free starter pack with coffee, dishwasher tabs and washing-up liquid makes arrival easy.

Sleeping

All three bedrooms have a double box-spring bed, so every couple gets a room of their own. There is plenty of storage for your clothes, and blackout options ensure a good night’s sleep. Cots are available free of charge on request.

Bathrooms

The penthouse has two modern bathrooms: an en-suite shower room attached to one bedroom, and a second bathroom with walk-in shower and bathtub – just right for warming up after skiing or hiking. A hairdryer is provided.

Need more space?

For larger groups the penthouse can be combined with Apartments 11 and 12: as Lieblingsquartier 15 it sleeps up to 15 guests. For even more room, book the Full House with up to 54 beds.

The Lieblingsquartier

Shared lobby with bar and lounge, roof terrace, large garden with barbecue and playground, washing machine and dryer, and free parking at the house with an EV charging point. A digital lock system with code or key fob makes arrival hassle-free.

Location

Lieblingsquartier is at Clausthaler Straße 5, around 600 m above sea level in the Upper Harz. The old town, restaurants, cafés and shops are an easy walk away. Hiking trails start right at the house, the summer toboggan run and bike park on the Matthias-Schmidt-Berg are close by, and the Wurmberg and the Brocken are just a short drive away. In winter there are ski slopes, cross-country trails and sledging hills.

Good to know

Bed linen and towels must be booked as a linen package (€20 per person). A flat fee per stay applies for dogs. Check-in from 3 pm, check-out by 10 am.
